servis M9813w WASHER / DRYER?

I have been given a servis M9813w washer/dryer. The Washing machine side seems to works fine but the tumble dryer is giving me problems. The pump runs and the drum tumbles but there seems very little heat in the drum. There is an electrical burning smell as if something overheats but the clothes do not get hot nor do they dry. Does anyone have any ideas or know where I can get service manual or drawings. Thanks Al.

I consider the design of this machine to be very poor. The dryer fan is situated low down at the rear of the drum and is forever clogging with water and debris. It can be cleared but to do this properly requires the removal of the aluminium air duct. Even when I had a new fan fitted it seized up after a few weeks. Shame, coz apart from this it's been pretty reliable.

the machine was damaged during transportation. seems like the pump needs replacing. is it possible to replace the pump myself? and where can i get it cheap?

we got a brand new one and the dryer has never worked scince new. we never got the machine for its drying capabilities. our sons pal came over and pushed a few buttons and the dryer worked but it took a avery long time to dry the clothes. he said there must have been a problem with the programming because when set for dryer it seemed not to go though the high speed spin cycle after washing so the clothes were soaking wet.

Thanks Maverick, A faulty fan is what I suspected but did not know where to find it. I'll take a look at the weekend and thanks again, Al.

Sorry - that should have been Left Hand Side (my fault hanging upside down over back of it!!!)

I was surfing for the same answer - could not find one so have taken the back off the machine.
On mine the drier has a fan inside an aliminium duct (right hand side looking into back) and I found that the fan has siezed up.
Perhaps try this first - make sure its turned off before taking off the rear cover and DONT run it without the rear cover on.
