Hi. I have a glow worm energy saver 50 , condensing boiler ?

and i need to replace it ....due to rust on the inside (rain water getting into flue ). Can anyone recommed a conventional boiler that will do the same job ...the max heat input is 16.94 kw .
thanks

My Energysaver 50 Boiler by Glowworm has just been diagnosed as unsafe due to the excessive amount of corrosion from the condensate which has caused metal fatigue (rust). This was installed 10years ago from new and, I suppose, has had a fair 'bashing'. That said, my engineer informs me that this type of boiler has been a major problem on the housing development where he has had to replace several over the past 5-6 years due to corrosion caused between the condensate and boiler aluminium construction material. Guess I won't be going back to Glowworm again. My engineer has suggested Valliant Boilers - any comments?

Hi we have an energysaver 50e condesing boiler. It is about 7 years old and absolutly full of corrosion. It needs a lot of maintenance and has has over 20 replacement electrode ignitors. We are now looking to replace and plan to buy a potterton

the new part l building regs state that condensing boilers should now be fitted as standard.. go for a potterton or baxi
