Canon NP1020 black copies?

My old NP1020 suddently started making black copies. It worked perfect until now. What could be the problem(s), and what should I check for? thanks

Well, the lamp is working because I can see it shinning when it scans. So, it has to be something else. Could it be that piece with the filaments?

have alook 4 a broken cable on the power to the lamp

I changed the lamp and now I get some image but still very dark. Actually, the more copies I made the darker it got. What else could it be?

First check that the scan lamp comes on. If it is ok then that modle did suffer from dry joints on the pcb's.
