how can i fix baxi back boiler?

Had my baxi bermuda back boiler serviced recently. When i came to switch on central heating back boiler fires up for about 15 seconds the shuts of then does the same again and again so radiators never get hot. anyone got any ideas.

It could be your thermocouple needs replacing prob the most inexpensive option to try

Just had mine fixed. It had the same problem.

The pilot light sensor weakens after a number of years. (It sits permanently in the pilot flame so I guess it's not surprising.) It may function sufficiently to register the pilot flame but the change in draft when the main burners fire can be suffficent to draw the pilot flame away. The boiler 'thinks' the pilot has gone out an shuts down.

You need a new pilot sensor... not expensive in itself but replacement is a job for he gas fitter, I'm afraid.

i too have a similar problem but as i`ve had mine recently serviced and been away for 4 days i switched the water and heating to off .when got back the pilot light is still lit but the back boiler will not fire up, checked the power and thats ok, pump works and thermostat on boiler clicks to say its calling for heat. any thoughts anybody ?
