First, check that the TV picture aspect is set to 16:9 or widescreen not 4:3. It can be changed using the remote control.
(If you have external equipment connected such as a digital receiver, dvd etc., there will also be an option in its menu, to set the output to 16:9 widesceen).
Otherwise, faults with the picture width would require the attention of an engineer.
