Kenwood RD-VH7?

My system works for a short time then sound cuts out for a while (10 mins or more) although power still on. When this happens sound still works through headphones.

Its a heating Problem. I put a Fan on it for a longer time and it is running perfekt.
The problem is that to lose the contacts and the solder joints must be soldered to.
Is very expensive to dismantle the device. I flexed the base plate at the location of the speaker terminals on. So I was able to resolder the board.

Hi there Elaine, same problem here......
It's probably a faulty poweramp relais which switches between the headphone socket and the speakers.
Probably has to be replaced....not sure though....
I intend to replace this part myself (not easy to access :-(
or reconnect it with a solderbolt(?) if a loose connection is acting up....
