How to fix my Kenmore Electronic Fabric Care Model 110.82994110?

I have a Kenmore Limited Edition Electronic Fabric Care. Model 110.82994110. Serial C94301730. and finally Stock #29941. Once in a while and more often recently stop during the water draining cycle. We have to restart the machine to make it work. Any advice?

I realise this question is nearly a year old but will answer it in case others have the same or similar problem.

I have what I think is a similar machine with a similar problem Kenmore Electronic Fabric Care Model 110.82994500.

If you have a volt/ohm meter and are comfortable working around 110v you can diagnose the problem down to the board level. Unplug the washer. Open the control panel by taking out two screws. They are on either side of the front bottom of the control panel. Slide the control panel ahead about 1/2 inch till you feel it come loose, lift up about 2 inches, then tilt backwards to reveal the computer etc. This can be a bit tricky if you have never done it.

Once open I found a "TECH SHEET" (small booklet) with instructions for determining what is wrong with the washer.

You will see two boards in this compartment. The green board on the left is the computer, the sand colored board to the right is the trans-relay board. The computer decides what to do when and signals the trans-relay board to activate the motors and switches to make it happen.

In my case (and I am guessing yours too) it is/was a bad trans-relay board. The board for my machine can be had from sears online parts store for about $150.
