how to repair tape in cassette player?

My tape broke and I need to know if it can be repaired?

I wouldn't put the sticky on the oxide side of tape (the inside) as this could eventually get onto the head and bugger it up and if possible make your cuts of the tape at a 45 degrees( this can be done by overlapping the 2 ends of tape then cutting with scissors at an angle( to make it's passage past the head easier0...and make sure you haven't got a twist in the tape before you join it!!

Yes you can repair it if the tape has screws that hold it together. Take the tape were it broke at, cut off any wrinkled parts so it doesn't get ate by your tape player. Next cut 2 pieces of scotch tape about the width of the tape to be fixed. Line up the pieces as straight as possible, put one piece of scotch tape on one side, flip it and put the other piece of scotch tape on the other side. If you need to cut the scotch tape with a razor blade so it is the exact size of the cassette tape. That should do it. hope this helps you
