MAJOR Service menu error! Tv OFF for good?!? Philips HD 30Inch Proj?

Back story:
First some back story so you know why I have a problem. Months ago I finally found out that my tv has an "Overscan" problem. Basically meaning the sides are cut of by a few inches on everything. So I had to have a tech come look at it. At that time someone did and they fixed it. At that time after they left I noticed the bottom left was warped in pretty bad. So a few weeks later a part on the back of the tv went. So I called in and went to have it replaced and mentioned could they fix the screen again while they were out.

To make it short 2 months later after calls back and forth they are going to replace my tv in about 3 weeks. Well they never got a chance to fix that screen though so I'd tr to do it myself since I have done it before on other tvs through the "Service Menu". It "voids" your warranties, really they think people are stupid but anyone can figure out the service menu. It says "Vertical" and "Horizontal", duh. Anyways having done it before I got into the service menu and while fixing my screen my dad turned off his tv (same brand) which is near mine and accidentally the signal turned off mine. Now when my tv turns on it goes off once the screen flips on. It looks like the screen is "flipped" up though, high into the screen. Not broke but just like a setting is messed up.

Question:
1. Is there a way to set the tv to default settings without turning it on? (since it won't turn on for more then a second)
2. If it is by leaving it unlugged how long? And will the "Default" mean even the screen settings?
3. Any suggestions?
4. Do you think the store I got it from will give me a hard time seeing as how I had to do this because they never bothered coming back out?

In case your wondering why I just don't wait until I get a new tv. Well for one this tv has the only port for recording stuff on DVD and two my 360 is on it and I have games rented that are due back soon that I haven't played yet!

By the way, don't know if this is important or not but whe it turns of the green light next to your tvs sensor, well mine flashes like some weird Morris Code thing for a few seconds then stops.
