I have managed to make this work after a long time, what you do is press the menu button and go to set up and then go to channels and then go to analogue manual scan and do a scan and after about 2 minutes all your sky channels will come and everything will be working fine.

Hi

I have the problem and what you said does not really help as the RF2 output is connected and set to on.

I cannot change channels but can switch my tv on and off with my sky remote.

Furthermore, the previous eye transmitter works fine.

Suggestions?

answer to t, Yes i have read the manual and we have done all the things we were suposed to do, the light came on but will not change channels, thats what makes me think there must be something else causing the problem but dont know what thanks anyway but is there anything else that could cause the problem

In guess that you did not read the magic eye manual. In order for the magic eye to work it needs to be connected to RF2 and then to your second TV. Next you need to turn on RF2 by doing the following on your Sky box. Using your remote control, bring up the menu. Go to service. Press 4, press 0, Press 1, press select.
