Sorry to say but there is no way you can do a home repair. If you want a repair you would need a whole new bay as the shaft will have caught and jammed which as I said cannot be home repaired. If you decide on purchasing a new one I could take that cash register as part exchange for a new or used one. Thanks, Jordan jordanbarker@talktalk.net
