i was getting same error and had my-find4u hijacker on puter also didnt have microsoft office installed but it ended up in startup folder upon startup it displayed a page with code or encryption of some sort i deleted it like bonehead. Ad-aware se and spybot both dtected the my-find4u and erased but ten min later or earlier it came back my browser hijack blaster would go off .by way spyware blaster and browser hijack blaster does wonderful even if infected. it would try change homepage but couldnt lol ....still on puter though :-( . anyway at time only found one reference online since have seen alot of people with diff hijackers but same WIN MIN prob and same removal prob. other forums talkin bout this bein new malware it is scary since so hard to remove. i did easy fix, change out drive. still have other one and am researching other forums to see what is when fiqure out i will remove and post answers everywhere i can. if others have this prob.....nothing antivirus or hijack blocker or ad-aware wise seems to protect they see and find but wont get rid of my old hijack this wouldnt either it is weird and kinda scary keep eyes open all

ahm... I believe my case might be a bit different with win min. None of those files or other regedit data exists.

Here's how I solved this problem:

I went to
c:\documents and settings\all users\start menu\programs\startup
and deleted winlgn.exe (which might also be winlogon.exe or winlogin.exe or some such variant). Check the properties of the file you find there; if it is a fairly new file, it is probably a hijacker.

I then ran a deep registry scan with the latest version of AdAware and deleted the probable browser hijack files.

Next I ran HijackThis just to double check that AdAware had gotten everything.

Then I ran SpyBot.

Also, if you find a file called dllhelp.exe, it is probably a hijacker also so delete it.

Then reboot.

That's my story; can't guarantee it will work for you.
