Most likely the coil spring is broke. But if it is not broke, dicconnect the pull cord & rewind the coil spring to get the draw back tension back so that the pull cord will draw back in the direction you want it to, once you get the tension on the coil spring be sure to keep it held in place. It's gonna want to uncoil, then run the pull cord thru the cover hole & tie a good knot on the end to connect it to the spool. Keep the pull cord from spooling back in & reconnect the pull handle.
