Water leaking from on Potterton Performa 28 diverter valve?

Water is leaking from the push rod seal at the front of the diverter valve. The push rod operates a microswitch.Do I need to buy a new diaphram or is there another possible cause i.e. maybe an "O" ring behind the brass nut at the front of the diverter valve.Thanks.
