when i put my xd card in my olympus digital camera it keeps saying card error and the camera turns itself off so the casmera wont work it is only three months old but bought in france any idea what to do

I had this problem .. it can be that you're using the wrong type of Xd card card but for me it was different problem.

My problem was that one of the gold contacts on the camera's Xd socket was loose (and eventually it fell off). Not much can be done if you can't either replace that part of the camera or reconnect the gold contact.

This happened to my xd card when the camera switched itself off (duff batteries) whilst taking video.
It`s done something to the card as the camera works fine with another xd card
