I took my Dyson in for repairs and went to pick it up after deciding not to get them to repair it because of the cost. They gave it back to be totally dismantled and I am trying to put it back together - does anyone know how the wiring should be connected? I have brown and blue cables from the power lead and black and purple from the motor.

Hi Gary,
ive just dimantled my Dyson DC05 & there is a slight difference in the colours, the brown from the power lead is connected to the red on the motor & the blue from the power lead is connected to the black on the motor, hope this helps
