NTFS To FAT32?

Can any body tell me if it is possible to change the fromat from NTFS to FAT32 on an external hard drive and how you do it as I want to connect a external hard drive to my DVD player , I've tried a friends that is a FAT32 drive and works but my NTFS 1 wont

Hi Dave

The only way to convert NTFS to FAT 32 is by fdisking or formatting it.

In WinXP (or W2K)

Click on Start / Run / Type in: cmd / OK / then type:

"format z: /FS:FAT32"
(Without the quotes" & replace the "z:" with the letter of your drive)

Back up your files first as the disk is wiped in the process!

Just reformat it and choose FAT32. Backup any data on it first because formatting will erase it all.
