Need advice on fixing feed dogs?

I have just bought a second-hand Husqvarna Viking 5710 & it isn't working correctly. For a start off the stitch length dial will not physically move past 2, but worse yet the feed dogs literally just move up & down - they are not feeding the fabric at all! I suspect the stitch length dial isn't properly connected to anything & is stuck at a stitch length of 0, but am not sure what the problem is.

Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

Thanks

Thank you for your help Ken, after advice elsewhere about unsiezing the feed dog I have discovered it definitely is the stitch length dial not working.

Hello erin.
The reason the teeth are only moving up and down is because the dial for the stitch length is set too low, you need to look inside the machine near the stitch length dial to see if anything has come loose, take the top of the machine off or the side and see if anything has broken away, if it is not something simple unfortunately you will have to take that machine in for repair, it is not something I could talk you through unfortunately.
