the cassette is stuck in the player, what should be the steps to release it, besides, it is impossible to play / rewind / record / ... as long as the cassette is stuck in th player
unplug unit, open screws or panel and slide n lift top cover exposing the drive and stuck tape.Un tangle n remove tape. Get player serviced n check b4 u recieve back for same problen.

you probably have a slack loading belt, listen for a motor spinning fast. this is usually a half hour job max for a tech.
