How can i stop the pilot light from flashing red?

The VOKERA OPTIONS type boiler is failing to produce heat/hotwater. The timer is fully functional as far as i can tell, however, the pilot warning light (bottom, centre of panel) is flashing red. Can i mend this manually or is a professional required?
