How can I repair a zipper that won't stay locked and unzips?

My daughter has an almost new pair of jeans with a working zipper, except the pull-tab doesn't lock and keep the zipper from unzipping. So every time she sits down or bends the zipper unzips. Is it repairable?

I have the same problem and found this oniline but have not tried it yet:

Paint the zipper teeth with a couple of coats of clear nail polish, and it will stay up. If it starts to fall down again, put on another coat or two until it stays.
