Hi, i have two sky receivers and one sky plus receiver, the sky plus box wont come out of standby and tv is saying no signal, i have went through the back up re-set option but the lights dont light up on the sky plus box, the only light on is the standby one, have checked the cables,any idea what i could try now, many thanks for your time, Bob.

Try switching your box off at the mains, before you switch the power back on hold the back up button down on the front of the box while you switch it on, three lights on the front should light up and the stanby button. A message will appear saying updating system software, do not disconnect from the mains, etc, etc and leave it alone until it has completed (approx 10-15mins). Then give it a few seconds and switch it on using the stanby button.

This worked for me, good luck.

If you are handy with a soldering iron you can repair the power supply with a kit of components from either grandata or satcure. You can find both on the web

If you call Sky they will replace your box for a recon for not a lot of money.
