phillips car 400 radio coding?

having to replace the battery on my vauxhall vectra car i have the code number for the philips 400 car radio but would like information on how to reset the coding and which buttons to press to programme the radio back in

the system for entering in the code is shown in the radio manual but basicaly what you do is using the preset buttons ie 1,2,3 ect to enter like 6317 you would press number 1, 6 times then number 2, 3 times etc then I think you press the as button to enter the complete code
