Help please
Pilot light will not stay on once button released.
Have replaced thermocouple (general type from local plumbing shop) and disconected the overheat thermostat. Before changing the gas valve could you suggest anything else to check that could prevent the pilot light staying on.
Prior to light going out boiler has run faultlessly for many years.

my computer was not working so i could not see your response. The flame flares up to once the tap/heater is on but still goes out when 20secs later the the orange light kicks in for the same amount of time which then produces cold water.

My ocean combi boiler 240 is not working properly. The orange light stay on and does not switch off also the hot water gets very hot and soon after gets very cold, like water from the cold water tap without having to switch of the hot water tap.

have you changed the overheat thermistor ?link the wires together going to the stat and see if that makes it stay alight,if it does change that thermistor
