How do I change the door locks on my ford transit van (1997)?

I have bought replacment locks for my van and managed to change the petrol cap and rear door but can't get access to the door locks. Do I have to remove the window mechanism? Please help,

No, you have to drill the rivets to remove the metal lock guard.
