could be the heating element or the thermostat if the machine keeps displaying heating throghout the rest of the wash this would indicateits the themostat

e14 means "a fault with the water heating has occurred".
It recommends send for a service engineer.

we have a ultima washer dryer and it displays the same error messanges as the ultima if you have still got your instruction manual there is 1 or 2 pages of error codes and they have been very useful to me in the past. I cannot tell you what the error code means as i have lost my instructions but i hope this help you.
