Occasional power loss when driving unable to accelerate above 2500 rpm.
Maintains speed but nothing when you try to accelerate.
When you stop and turn off engine then restart everything returns to normal.

I had this problem and was advised to take the cap of the brake pedal switch blow dust out of it then spray with WD 40. Repiace cap. It worked and has been fine for 8 months.

i know what you mean my van is doing the same thing its nothing to do with fuel if i try to drive at a constant speed between 50/70 ish it just whistles with no power witch off/on again its fine for a while,this fault doesn't record on ecu,main agents don't have a clue what it is.its driving me crazy.
if any one knows please let us have the secret!!!!

2007 Sprinter - Ocassionaly no power at take off as if turbo not working. If I turn off and restart everything fine the vehical now has zip off bottom. This has happen 2 or 3 times only have 4000 miles on my sprinter...

Check the turbo boost intake, a common problem with Sprinters. It is made of cheap plastic, and a hairline crack allows too much air to enter, sending the van into "limp mode" until the problem can be fixed and the computer reset at a dealer. There is an aftermarket alluminum billet turbo boost intake that replaces the stock plastic one. Also, maybe your fuel filter is clogged.

possable brake pedal switch, clutch pedal switch, or turbo boost pressure switch etc, even tho the engine management light may not be on, it still record faults so it may still pay to have a diagnostic check done to point you in the right direction
