4 head player stops and ejects for no appairent reason

Iam trying to figure out how to plug my video camera in and get it to play on the TV so that I can record the video from the camera onto a vhs tape is this possible?

When I record, I cannot hear any sound, When I play it back the sound is there. Can this problem be fixed, or do I need to purchase a new VCR?

I'm not getting anything from the output to the tv but a blue screen. I've changed cables. no difference. My dvd player to the tv works.
