Fix Fault Black & Decker

how do i remove the carbon brush from a black&decker hedge trimmer GT231

My Black & Decker LHT2436 does not operate every time I hit the switch. It will turn on sometimes; but once I turn it off it won't turn on again all the time.

My hedge is not cutting any size of Bush and looks like the blades do not make any contact with the wood that I would like to cut. What can I do?
