Internet not opening particular website?

My internet explorer opens every website so far, apart from my university one, I need to access lecture slides and can't. Is this because it does not start with www. its just udo.derby.ac.uk Why won't it open, it just says 'connecting' forever!!

For future IT problems may I suggest that you talk to your Uni IT people. My partner is a lecturer and her people are terrific.
