Repair is probably not economical. Unless you have a sentimental attachment to it, it's best to junk it and visit some garage sales or eBay and buy a working replacement projector. Movie projectors, both 8mm and 16mm, with rare exceptions, sell for essentially nothing as there is no demand for them.
