1G and 2G SD memory cards?

I was adding pictures to a 1G memory card using my printer as the card reader. I started getting an error message 'Cannot copy (name of picture copying). The directory or file cannot be created'. I thought maybe the SD card ran out of space. I then purchased a 2G card and tried adding more pictures but received the same error message. I also purchased a digital USB connection card reader and still get the same error message. Any idea why this happened?

Hi.
First, format the card in 'FAT 32'. Then open/explore the card in 'My Computer'. Once you've done this, click on 'Create a New Folder' in the options menu on the left-hand side of the screen, and call this 'photos' or something so you'll know where you're moving files to. Then copy or move your files to this sub-folder. I was having the same problem with four different SD cards of various sizes. I tried this, and it worked with them all first time. Good luck!

Hi...try changing the format to FAT32 from FAT (right click on the drive...select format...then under file system change from FAT to FAT32)...worked for me
