Does anyone know what fault F9 for a Glow-Worm Flexicom boiler?

Does anyone know what Fault F9 means in connection with a Glow-Worm Flexicom 30cx boiler? Mine keeps going off and will only come back on when I press the re-set button. When it does come back on its only on for a short time and then goes off again and I have to press the reset button again and keep doing this several times.

It means there is a problem with the pressure sensor. I have had my Flexicom 30sx for the past 5 years and have changed the sensor 3 times over the last 3 years. the technical department at Glow warm are not helpful at all, last time ,I called them for advise, as usual did not get anywhere so I asked them to give me back my money and take the boiller back. I will not be buying Glow warm any more.

There is a replacement for the existing pressure sensor which is faily easy to do although you will have to drain the hot water plate heat exchanger

I think its a faulty pressure sensor and it may be blocked with sludge not sensing the pump starting.

These boilers are a complete nightmare. I have had the F9 signal constantly and it has cost to maintain my glow worm boiler than it does to maintain my car (about £600 this year for a 3 year old boiler). I have had leaks, sensor problems and on an on. Glow worm love it as their engineers are extremely expensive to call out and the faults are always so odd and require specialist parts that I am always advised to call them. In comparison I installed a worcester in two other flats I own and they have been faultless. Don't save the money by buying these boilers. I ma now thinking f ripping mine out as they are just too expensive to maintain.

I keep getting the F9 error code too. It seems to be a pressure problem. The engineer that installed my boiler told me to turn both the taps on the bottom of the boiler to the open posion and put more water into the system. I have done this a couple of times and it seems to resolve the problem. However this does seem like a bit of a design flaw.

Hi

Check out the Glow Worm Website

You can download the user and installation instructions. There is a table on one of them telling what the numbers mean.

I have that problem as well. I had a glow warm engineer in this morning. F9 = pressure problem. There is a switch that needs to be replaced. my part is on order. no idea how much it would cost at moment.
