NO TEMPERATURE CONTROL IN SHOWER?

All of a sudden we have no control over the temperature of our shower. The water remains tepid while the hot water tap on the sink is scalding hot. What is even stranger is that beforehand the shower temperature could be controlled but the water from the tap couldn't?
Does anyone have any idea how to resolve?

The chances are that you have a pressurised hot water system, what is happening is either the non return valves in the shower are not working properly or they are not fitted, you can fit external non return valves the the pipe work leading upto the shower and this will do the job
