I suspect the internal fuse. My TV has the same symptom. Easy to repair if you have any competance, and can gain access to the fuse. DO NOT TOUCH anything else in there, though, if you do attempt this.

hehee.. sorry dude... someone was going too.. and it had to be me.
i have no idea.. could it be a faulty on / off swith on the tv..
