INSTRUCTIONS FOR FORMATTING HARD DRIVE
(1). SWITCH ON COMPUTER. AND WHILST IT IS BOOTING UP, PRESS F2
AND DELETE REPEATIDLY UNTIL BIOS SCREEN APPEARS.
(2). ARROW TO ADVANCED BIOS SETTINGS. OR IN THE SECOND
TYPE OF BIOS SCREEN ARROW ACROSS THE TOP UNTIL
YOU REACH (B00T),
(3). CLICK “ENTER”.
(4). CHECK SETTINGS AND WRITE DOWN SETTINGS BEFORE
CHANGING THEM. (1ST -2ND-3RD-BOOT AND OTHER BOOT DEVICES).
(5) CHANGE SETTINGS. TO BOOT FROM C.D.ROM.
ARROW TO 1ST BOOT DEVISE, PRESS “ENTER” AND CHANGE
SETTING TO “BOOT TO CD-ROM” USING ARROWS. PRESS “ESC”.
ARROW TO 2ND BOOT DEVISE PRESS “ENTER” AND CHANGE
SETTING TO “BOOT TO CD-ROM”.USEING ARROWS. PRESS “ESC”.
ARROW TO 3RD BOOT DEVISE PRESS “ENTER” AND CHANGE
SETTING TO “BOOT TO CD-ROM” USING ARROWS. PRESS “ESC”.
ARROW TO OTHER BOOT DEVICES AND CHANGE SETTING
TO “DISABLE”.
(6). PRESS “ENTER”.
(7). INSERT XP PRO DISC IN DVD DRIVE AND LEAVE TRAY OPEN.
(8). PRESS “F10” = SAVE AND EXIT. AND AS SOON AS “F10” IS PRESSED
CLOSE DRIVE TRAY WITH WINDOWS XP PRO DISC IN IT.
AS SOON AS THE BLACK SCREEN SAYS “PRESS ANY KEY TO
BOOT TO CD-ROM”, PRESS AND KEY “WITHOUT DELAY” DO NOT PRESS “ANY KEY” AGAIN IF INSTRUCTED
(9). WHEN FORMAT AND INSTALATION OF WINDOWS
IS FINISHED, CHANGE BIOS SETTINGS BACK TO THE ORIGINAL
ONES THAT YOU WROTE DOWN AND PRESS “ENTER” AND
THEN PRESS “F10” = SAVE AND EXIT.
(10). WITHIN THIS PROCESS YOU WILL BE ASKED WHAT PARTITION
YOU WANT TO FORMAT, SELECT THE LARGEST PARTITION AND
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. “TYPE OF FILE SYSTEM” “FTFS”.
(11). PRESS “ENTER”. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS ON SCREEN.
When the installation is finished you will now have XP Pro with
with Service Pack 2 Installed.
Lastly install the Validation patch from the Second disc as instructed.
