failed system fan?

At start up I received an error message:
failed system fan push f2 to continue.
Now I can't get the message to come back up. I vacuumed the inside area and fans. They seem to be working, but how can I be sure? Compaq Presario SR1920NX

I had the same problem on an hp. I cleared the BIOS by using the "Clear BIOS" jumper and this resolved the problem. The message in my case was false because the system fan was working just fine. If you can't find a clr BIOS jumper, you may have to remove the CMOS battery for 20 to 30 minutes to accomplish the same thing.

Hope this helps!
