Hi my Hoover Ultracare 1450 washing machine has been washing with cold water for a few washes and today has decided to wash with cold water and rinse with hot.The programs haven't worked properly for a while[sometimes cycles complete in 10 mins,sometimes hours]but at least hot water was used untill now.Also the dial clicks round more than it should[i think]during a cycle.I have checked for blockages.Any advice would be welcome as i have 4 kids off school needing clean clothes.Thanks FedupMum

Hi there
I'm no expert but it sounds like the problem could be your washer cycle selector knob, if it's slipped round you might be running the wrong cycle - just a thought but it could explain a few things. Try prying it off and see if it can go back on the opposite way around or check the splines for wear ( the ridges inside the knob centre where it connects with the washer'sshaft)
