WHEN PLUGGED IN VIA USB IT SHOULD HAVE TWO SEPARATE DRIVE LETTERS ASSIGNED, RIGHT ? oUT OF THOSE TWO, TRY ACCESSING VIA WINDOWS EXPLORER. ONE WILL ALLOW YOU TO BROWSE IT JUST LIKE A FLASH MEMORY STICK, THE OTHER WILL SAY ACCESS DENIED OR WHATEVER - IT WONT ALLOW BROWSING. THAT IS THE MENU SUB-SYSTEM. DO NOT MESS WITH IT. THE FIRST ONE I MENTIONED - IE THE ONE YOU CAN FREELY BROWSE - WELL , IT SHOULD BE SAFE TO FORMAT THIS ONE VIA WINDOWS. RIGHT CLICK AND SELECT 'FORMAT DRIVE' - WAIT - BEFORE PROCEEDING MAKE SURE YOU SELECT 'QUICK FORMAT'. OK PROCEED. YOU WILL OBVIOUSLY LOSE ANY PHOTOS AND MUSIC ON IT BUT IT SHOULD SOLVE THE ABOVE DISK ERROR PROBLEM.
HOPE THAT HELPED.
