when we want to play a movie the door won't open and the player won't stay on.

When your dvd player won't open:

1. Unplug dvd player from wall.
2. Remove cover with screwdriver.
3. Plug dvd player back into wall.
4. Slightly rotate disk changer from left to right.

These are the steps I took to unjam my dvd player. If this doesn't work, then I am not sure what the problem is.
