Why is my Vokera Mynute 20e Gas Boiler cutting out ?

My Gas Boiler lights up for maybe 60 - 90 seconds and then cuts out. Red reset light starts flashing, I then have to turn reset knob a couple of times before boiler fires up again, this time it may stay running for only 30 seconds before cutting out. This has been a problem on and off for the last couple of months. Had a gas repairman out but he could not figure it out. Said maybe I need a new PCB. Can anyone please help ?

My Vokera Mynute 20e is playing up, the red light comes on every day, I have to reset it and it will stay on for a few hours. When it is red i can still hear something running like a fan or pump? but no flames. Any ideas. Dome the thermistors, both, topped up. etc.

I changed both thermisters/stat, I took out a red one and fitted a blue one, hope that makes no differance? My boiler still needs resetting every half hour odd, any more ideas?

I was having error 20
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyhAyMjbruI
boiler overheating momentarily.
Turns out the motherboard is not sending power to the pump. I hotwired the pump temporarily so I can switch it on manually when needed and it works ok for now.
The trick is to check the connectors if they are giving power when expected. You'd likely need a trained engineer for that as they know what to expect and when.

Hi I have Vokera Mynute 20e. Boiler work for 10-15sec. and cut out for 5min. and start again.
When turn on CH is OK, but for DHW nothing
I change pump, thermisters, PCB, water pressure switch and nothing.
So i need some help.

(posting in case other people find this via Google - clearly Mark will have fixed this by now or frozen to death)

The display should give you a fault code, and you can look this up on the web - the full list of fault codes is out there somewhere. I found them a year ago, but they've moved - sorry - otherwise, I'd post a link.

The fault that Nik Kay is referring to shows up as fault code 72 on my boiler, which is something like "low pressure on return side". My manual says to keep the pressure between 1 and 1.5 bar, but omits to say this is the *cold* pressure, and there's a big difference between cold and hot pressures - Nik is probably right that it needs to be more like 2-2.5 bar when hot and operating.

Guys, Pigeon is right about the thermister causing Vokera boilers to cut out after a short while. I changed mine today and saved £180. My Vokera is a different model (Linea 24) and the advice was still sound, which suggests this part may fail on all Vokera models.

Note, however, that my boiler has 2 thermisters, and it was the Primary Thermister that failed. The error code on the display is 07. Hope this helps someone.

Try adding more water into the system. the pressure on the boiler dial should measure 2 bar and no more for safety sake. if it falls to about 1.5 or lower the boiler won't ignite. You should see if there is a small silver looking section of pipe with a tap (the kind that are found on pipes supplying water to washing machines/dishwashers) on it. usually sited above the main hot water tank in the hot press and certainly joining pipe with a pump on it just before the lower part of the hot water tank. This tap can only be turned a quarter turn clockwise and when turned, the sound of passing or rushing water can be heard. only try 3 second shots at a time and have someone monitor the boiler at the same time. Bring the reading to as near as 2 as pos. good luck and make sure not to leave the said tap open. you will have the job of "bleeding" the rads to get the heat back into those that remain cold or cooler than the others. Every season before use you should check the boiler reading. Remember do not do this on your own. make sure you fully understand before starting the procedure.

"Pigeon" is absolutely right!! I had exactly the same fault, with my Mynute 20e, found this posting, got the part number from Vokera, ordered it from the internet somewhere, fitted it myself (got pretty wet in the process!!!) and now the boiler is right as rain. Thank you very much Pigeon, that was great advice.
