I recorded all my mini-dv home video onto DVD-R with my DVD recorder. This has now stopped working and I didn't realise you had to "finalise" the dvd's before you can play them on another dvd player. How can I sort this out and not loose the footage forever??? Please help

The common answer is that you should use the finalise option of the hardware you recorded with as there is no standard for pre-finalised disks. I have a similar problem with unfinalised disks.
