Why does thread break on lower looper?

I have a new Kenmore serger (Model #16622). After using it for an hour or so, the left needle bent. (I was sewing through a thick spot.) I replaced the needle and re-threaded . It worked fine for a few inches, then the lower looper thread broke. I have re-threaded several times and the lower looper thread breaks every time I try to use the machine. I am quite sure that the looper is threaded correctly. Any ideas?

Hi. The problem is that the needle threads are now on the wrong side of the looper thread. Simply unthread the needle/s, unthread and rethread the lower looper, making sure it passes above an infront of the upper looper thread, re thread the needle/s. Then establish the first stitches by turning the handwheel in the sewing direction by hand.

You may have knocked the machine out of time which means a shop repair on sergers I am afraid unless you have not set the tension properly, make sure the thread has gone between the tension disc.
