Vaillant Turbomax No Water/Warmstart/Heating S.33 Error?

Hi,

I have moved into a house with this dreadfull boiler. Hot water has been intermittent i.e takes ages to warm up, and hot showers soon turn into cold ones.

But things have gone worse and I cant get it to work at all. When it goes into ignition mode for either hot water or cold water I get a S.33 status. Which means to check Air/Flue.

After reading the trouble shooting guide I have found it could be either the Air Pressure Switch, or The Electronic Circuit Board [ECB].

Have any of you had this and how have you fixed it?

Thanks

Chris

with ref to the ECB, meant to say, air pressure switch located at top and rear of boiler would be most likely problem, take it of and blow in it.

It will be the ECB, and it is not hard to change, costly though.
When I say it is not hard to change, it is because I have had three opportunities to change my ECB on the same boiler within 3 years, you will find it is sitting at he ignition stage and all it needs to operate is the gas valve to open, and usually the relay which is one of three fails to operate, I am thiking of changing the relays my self and flogging all my old boards.
