my servis 1500 stops mid cycle?

my machine stops mid cycle it allows the water and soap powder in and then stops and i can not get it to spin i have to rinse and hand wringe as it will not do a manuel spin either
can i fix this myself or should i call the service bloke out.

I would look at the pump inlet pipe and through to the outlet for blockage. I keep getting coins stuck in ours.
