tell sky your sick of the faults and youve been a loyal customer for x amount of years , say you want to cancel your account, they will then send out a repairman for free, rather than the £65 fee they usually charge

Assuming that you still have a Sky subscription (it won't work without one) I'd call Sky. They'll replace the box for a refurbished one for not a lot of money.
