just set up a goodmans gfsat101sd freesat box . When I press the guide button to check menu it goes off and on . The same thing happens when I select channel 4 . can you please tell me what is wrong

the problem might be in the remote, and not the box, see if you can change the channels and get into the menu, from the buttons on the box,
