Hi there

My panasonic dvd recorder has suffered from a long term recording failure for some time It will still play dvds but refuses to record as it will say cannot read disc despite these discs being DVD rams by Panasonici suspect its software has malfuntioned .Is it cost/worth repairing by the local repair agency?

I am guessing the laser is worn. It could be costly.
