Intermitent problem with hot water sometimes runs warm but mostly cool especially when you want a shower. Have been told diaphram faulty,does this sound like this could be the problem? any ideas out there please

all you need to do is put the the right presserure in the expansion vessel thats all i did and now all ok just used a car pump to put more air in

hot water coming out of auto air vent on DHW mode,(especially after son has been in shower for 20mins!)changed auto air vent,problem still remains.HELP PLEASE.

since putting the heating back on after the summer i have started having problems with my halstead ace boiler. the pressure keeps dropping. i have checked for leaks but cannot find any. i have topped up the pressure to between 1-1.5 but within a couple of days it has dropped below 1 again. i have turned the boiler off completely and re-started it but when i checked it again this morning, although it hasnt dropped as much it is still slightly lower-everything else seems to be working normal.

I have a Halstaed Ace High and have exactly the same problem described by Tony.

I had a gas man in who replaced the diverter valve (and charged me £300) this rectified the problem for about a week but now it is back to intermittant hot/cold water when showering.

Is it possible to clean these components myself?

hot water thermistor or more lightly secondary heat exchanger requires cleaning if this the case when you run hot water boiler will light then run and go off then relight after a 30 secs this should not happen it should stay on going from high to low flame but overheating due to one of the obove
