How can i Format pendrive?

when i m Trying to open my pendrive. You have to format it. then i trying to format . I got the Massge lIke "Windows unable to format this drive" So how can i solve this problemme.
SONY PENDRIVE ( VAIO) 32 GB.

found this on the HP web site and it work with all pen drive
i had format mine to NTFS 1st THEN TO FAT32 to get it to work but the others work fine
